NATIVE TONGUE

greater WE

Born in Philadelphia, PA Juliet’s first contact with the music industry came in the early noughties fronting synth pop band 1 Plus 1. Having achieved some success with a techno-tinged reworking of the Runaway’s “Cherry Bomb,” the group disbanded in the wake of 9/11. Several years later, Juliet secured a solo deal with Virgin Records, teaming up with 2x Grammy Award-winning producer Stuart Price (Madonna, Les Rhythmes Digitales) for her debut album, Random Order. Two singles, “Avalon” and “Ride the Pain,” topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club chart. Juliet went on to collaborate with 2x Grammy Award-winning producer David Guetta on the track “Do Something Love,” before leaving the music industry to seek out life elsewhere.

During her absence, the popularity of her music has continued to expand, even as she pursued her own personal and spiritual journey, started a family and launched her humanitarian efforts. Her catalogue continues to exhibit exceptional pull, with Spotify reflecting nearly 40,000 monthly listeners and over 5 million streams. This number quickly scales into the billions when considering the work of her collaborators.

They say that in an infinite universe, anything can happen. In the sounds, words, and images that comprise A Scattering Of Stars, Juliet is charting a course that remains as surprising as it is inspiring. One gets the sense that she has committed herself to boldly exploring every corner of human experience and feeling, inviting others into the adventure. In her writing and on these recordings (mixed and mastered by 2x Grammy Award-winning engineer Glenn Barratt), Juliet’s voice remains as striking and incandescent as ever – a guiding star – as the pages turn, songs stream, and waves of visual imagery unfurl across her universe.
